Privacy Policy

Habtix runs on Google Sign-In and Firebase, so — unlike a fully local-first app — your habit and goal data syncs to the cloud so it's there across your devices. This page explains exactly what's collected, why, and how to control it.
1 Information We Collect
- Account info — name, email address, and profile photo from Google Sign-In, the only sign-in method Habtix offers.
- Your content — Life Actions, Goals, Goal Actions, plan/schedule data, and related activity you create in the app, stored in Firebase Firestore.
- Goal Architect inputs — when you use AI Goal Architect, the goal text you type is sent through our own serverless proxy to Anthropic's API to generate a plan. It is never sent directly from your browser to a third party.
- Usage analytics — aggregated, consent-gated product analytics via PostHog, so we can see which features are actually used.
- Crash & error reports — via Sentry, to catch and fix bugs.
- Device & diagnostic information — basic technical details (device type, OS version) to keep the app stable.
2 How We Use Information
- To provide the core service — syncing your Life Actions, Goals, and plans across your devices.
- To generate your AI Goal Architect plan when you request one.
- To detect which Obstacle is currently most relevant to your activity.
- To diagnose issues, maintain stability, and improve the app based on aggregated usage patterns.
- To process a subscription, if you choose to upgrade to Pro (see Section 4).
3 Data Storage & Security
Your account and content data are stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), on Google Cloud infrastructure. We use industry-standard measures — including Firestore security rules scoped to your own account — to protect your data in transit and at rest. No online system can be guaranteed 100% secure, but we do not sell your data, and access is limited to what's needed to run the app.
4 Payments
Habtix is free to use, with an optional Pro subscription. Depending on how you access Habtix, payment is handled by Google Play Billing (Android), or a payment processor for web (Razorpay in India, or a Merchant of Record for other regions) — none of these currently store your card details with us directly; they're handled by the payment provider under their own privacy policy. We do not have a live payment path in the app yet as of this writing — pricing shown is informational until checkout goes live.
5 Third-Party Services
- Google — Sign-In (authentication), Firestore (database), Cloud Messaging (push notifications).
- Anthropic — processes the specific goal text you submit to AI Goal Architect, via our serverless proxy. Never called directly from your browser.
- PostHog — consent-gated, aggregated product analytics.
- Sentry — crash and error reporting.
- Payment processors — Google Play Billing, Razorpay, or a Merchant of Record, only if and when you subscribe.
6 Your Rights & Choices
- Access & export. You can export your data from within the app's Data & Export panel (availability of specific export formats depends on your plan).
- Deletion. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app's account settings. This removes your Firestore data and your Firebase Authentication record.
- Analytics opt-out. Usage analytics are consent-gated — you can decline during onboarding or change this later in Settings.
7 Children's Privacy
Habtix is not directed at children. If you are in India, please note the Digital Personal Data Protection Act treats anyone under 18 as a child requiring verifiable parental consent — we do not knowingly collect personal information from children without such consent.
8 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version on this page.
